Two separate farm accidents in Brown County have left one man dead and another fighting for his life.

The sheriff’s office says 19-year-old Kaleb Fischer was found injured near Sleepy Eye at about 11:00 a.m. yesterday by family. Investigators say he was hurt while repairing a manure spreader. Fisher was airlifted to the Twin Cities and is listed in critical condition.

At about 1:30 yesterday afternoon, 53-year-old John Hoffman of New Ulm was found by family after deputies say he was pinned between a combine and the corn head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
