Eddie Money, known for classic hit songs such as ‘Two Tickets To Paradise’, ‘Take Me Home Tonight’, and ‘Baby Hold On’, has passed away this morning following a long battle with cancer.
He began as a police officer in his home of New York City, before quitting the force and trying a career in music. Money’s pursuit led him out west to Berkeley, CA, where he met promoter Bill Graham. He signed to Columbia Records and released his debut self-titled album in 1977.
Apart from his music, Eddie Money also made numerous media appearances throughout the years, including a Geico commercial and the sitcom The King Of Queens.
Eddie Money is survived by his wife and five children.
