Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka says form letters reportedly sent to businesses from the Department of Employment and Economic Development meant to imply support for the statewide mask mandate, by the letter of the law, were not illegal.

“It appears that it skates just by that, but it’s inappropriate, absolutely inappropriate. But we will get to the bottom of it.”

Gazelka told M-N-N affiliate K-T-L-K that he hopes to hear Governor Tim Walz address controversy soon.
