The Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) continues to get the word out about mysterious packages of seeds arriving in people’s mailboxes. The MDA’s Denise Thiede says the packages seem to be arriving…

“From China, but also we’ve heard reports of Malaysia, and Kyrgyzstan.”

Thiede says officials are concerned about the potential of invasive plant species contained in the seeds. She’s urging anyone who receives such a package not to plant the seeds. Instead, she wants recipients to contact the MDA by email or by calling the state’s “Arrest the Pest” hotline at 888-545-6684.
