Economist King Banaian doesn’t expect gas prices to impact Minnesotan’s spring and summer travel plans:

“Because people are demanding it.  People will pay for it. Remember there is still a lot of savings out there that people got through those stimulus checks from the various COVID relief packages from 2020 and 2021. And that makes people a little more comfortable and they are not just as price-sensitive as they were before it.”

Banaian expects gas prices to peak around 4.30 over the spring and summer travel season.
