With a major storm predicted to hit parts of the Upper Midwest this week, Xcel Energy is mobilizing additional crews to help if customers lose power during the storm. And Xcel’s John Marshall says:
“If you come across any downed power lines you gotta assume it’s energized and therefore very dangerous don’t touch it don’t move it stay very far away leave the area reported immediately.”
Marshall is also encouraging Minnesotans to have a home emergency kit ready with batteries, back-up phone chargers, bottled water and non-perishable food. And he says if power outages occur, report it right away.
