The Minnesota Hospital Association is among the groups calling on state lawmakers to approve COVID-19 bonuses for front-line workers.  M-H-A President Raul Koranne  says the pandemic has shown how important it is to have a local hospital and care:

“We are really hoping that the Minnesota Legislature will quickly pass the “hero” pay so that our health care workers can receive those funds.”

Koranne says they are also supporting legislation that would provide loan forgiveness for some nurses and staff.   The Minnesota House wants a billion dollars for COVID worker bonuses while the Senate is sticking to last year’s 250-million-dollar proposal.
