— Jennifer Lawrence is going to be a mom. Lawrence’s represenative told People Magazine on Wednesday that she’s pregnant. This will be a first for the 31-year-old and her husband art gallery director Cooke Maroney. The two got married in 2019 after being linked in 2018. The rep did not say when the baby is due.
— Comedian John Mulaney is going to be a father. During his Tuesday night appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the Saturday Night Live writer said he packed a lot into the last year. He said he went to rehab twice, got divorced after seven years of marriage, and started dating actress Olivia Munn in the spring. Since then, the couple has gotten pregnant. Mulaney thanked Meyers for saving him from drugs and noted Munn and their baby helped save him from himself while in recovery. There’s no word on when the baby is due, but they will be the first child for both of them.
— AMC Theatres is spending some big bucks on a new marketing campaign, The theater group announced its 25-million-dollar advertisement push on Wednesday, and it will star Oscar winning actress Nicole Kidman. Online platforms are already airing the spots, but more are set to air on network television starting Sunday. The new campaign comes as the company was financially impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
— Actor Bob Odenkirk is back at work following a “small heart attack” in July. He collapsed while on the set of “Better Call Saul” in New Mexico and took some time to recover. On Wednesday, he took to Twitter to let fans know he is so happy to be back on set and living life surrounded by such good people. The 58-year-old also shouted out “makeup pro” Cheri Montesanto for making him look “not ugly” for shooting. He’s currently filming the sixth season of the “Breaking Bad” spin-off.
— Veteran actor Michael Constantine is dead. His family announced he died last month at his home in Reading, Pennsylvania. They said he had been ill for a while but did not say with what. He’s best known for his role in the 1970s sitcom Room 222, which earned him an Emmy Award. Constantine also played the father of Nia Vardalos’ character in “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.”
— Spectators will be allowed back at this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. Last year was a TV-only event due to the pandemic. Macy’s says it will work closely with the City and State of New York, along with the Health Department to ensure everyone who attends does so safely. Parade health protocols will be announced closer to the event date. Mayor Bill de Blasio says he’s thrilled to welcome back the parade live and in-person as a run up to the city’s holiday season. This is the 95th year Macy’s has put on a parade on Thanksgiving Day.
— Billie Eilish and Travis Barker are gearing up to present awards at the MTV VMAs. People reports they are the only two presenters who are also up for awards throughout the night. Eilish is nominated for five awards, while the blink-182 drummer is up for another presenter include Olympian Simone Biles, Hailey Bieber, and Cyndi Lauper. The MTV Video Music Awards are set to tick off live from New York City on September 12th.
— Travis Barker is opening up about his recent decision to fly following a deadly plane crash in 2008. He had sworn off airplanes, but last month he took to the skies with girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian. Speaking to Nylon, he explained how Kardashian told him that she wants to travel the world with him and she would be ready to do so as soon as he was. All she asked is that he gives her a 24-hour notice. The blink-182 drummer said their first flight to Cabo was “the easiest ever,” and since then they have gone to Europe. He said it says a lot about his relationship that she is able to help him overcome something that traumatic.
— Celebrity chef Guy Fieri and rocker Sammy Hagar’s Santo Tequila is ranking high in the spirits world. The Robb Report names the duo’s Santo Blanco as one of the top seven blanco tequilas that are currently on the market. The craft blanco, which is made in small batches, is noted for its unique flavor of sustainably sourced agave. A bottle of Santo Blanco ranges from 48 to 70-dollars.
